11 MONTHS OLD

I can't believe Emerson is 11 months old. She is amazing. She is running everywhere and getting into everything. She is such a happy baby and talks all the time. This week we started weaning the bottle and formula to cow's milk. She is going great and by day 3 we have not had any bottles only sippy cups and she couldn't care less. She just wants the milk. I told Justin last night we really do have the best baby. The pictures below show some of the amazing personality she has come to develop. She is pointing at everything and trying to talk. She hates bows as you can tell below and takes them off immediately. She IS getting hair although hard to see because it is so blond. My sweet angel had a cold in these pictures and is still smiling. We could not be more blessed and we hope our next one is just like her.

Popsicle!

Emerson had her first Popsicle yesterday. We stripped her down and took her outside for the event. Below are some pics. Enjoy!

5th generation

As many of you may know my most favorite dish is a recipe from my Great Grandmother for chicken and noodles. The noodles are made from scratch of flour, egg and water. The recipe is similar to southern chicken and dumplings but much better. We eat them over mashed potatoes to complete the carbfest. I made them for Emerson on Sunday and she loved them! Emerson is the 5th generation who is a chicken and noodle lover. This meal is my go to comfort food and I hope Emerson will find the joy in eating them for years to come.

Cici and I took Emerson for her first mall experience at Northpark and her first dressing room at where else but Neiman Marcus. Below is a picture of Emerson and I'm pretty sure she liked it. I can't wait to take her shopping again.

Our baby is growing up

Emerson started taking steps at 9 1/2 months and was walking room to room by 10 months. Now my little girl prefers to be chased so she can run everywhere. I can't believe my precious little angel is now a toddler and will be 11 months next week. Emerson is the happiest little baby I know. She is pointing and starting to understand so many things like when we say do you want to read a book she comes over to sit in your lap to read. So sweet! She is also understanding pictures and will look at our pictures to say Momma and Dada. We think she is so bright and love seeing her little mind working each day to see what more she can discover.
