Happy 2nd Birthday Emerson!!!

Dear Emerson,

I can't believe you are two already. Where has the time gone? I love spending all of my time with you and I'm very thankful that your Daddy works so hard so I can be at home with you. We have hit many milestones this year including potty training, starting preschool, and your little brother Truett growing in Mommy's belly. You amaze me each and every day with your wisdom and happiness. You are talking in complete sentences now and even know your colors. You are very smart and constantly learning new things. You are starting to test your parents entering the 2's but for the most part you are a VERY happy little girl! You love school and your teacher Ms. Jennifer. You love Kindermusik class and enjoy music ALL the time. Thank you for playing with your brother in Mommy's belly and singing Twinkle Twinkle to him. I know you will be the best big sister he could ask for because you already are. Thank you for saying "Bless you Momma" when I sneeze.Thank you for all of your adorable sayings that I hope I never forget like "I got you" and "Uh Oh what happened? " Thank you for your hugs, kisses, and head nuzzles. Thank you for your constant talking and asking questions. Thank you for blessing our lives each and every day. We LOVE you more than words can express and we are so proud of the big girl you have become.

Preschool...really??

When I was pregnant with Emerson in 2009 I put Emerson on a list for First United Methodist Weekday Preschool. Based on her "school age" she would start in Fall 2011 which seemed like a lifetime away. Well that time has come and today was the day. I fought back the tears and she didn't cry at all when we got there. She shed a few tears as I arrived I'm sure from pure exhaustion. Emerson can't stop talking about her teacher Jennifer, the kids, and let's not forget the baby dolls they have. She said she was ready to go back which confirmed we made the right decision for her instead of keeping her selfishly to ourselves. Our first week is behind us and I know it will get easier. She is already learning so much and it has only been 2 days. I'm so proud of my "big girl" and can't believe she will be 2 years old in one short week. I am taking this opportunity to get many projects completed in my short 12 hours a week. After all we will have a newborn here in just 12 short weeks. Enjoy some pics below!!
