We took Emerson to Glen Rose to visit the animals at Fossil Rim. She LOVED it! It was hard to capture great photos from the car while driving through the wild life but here are some to enjoy! There were tons of animals to see and nice to go at your own pace. We had a blast!

Happy 2nd Birthday Emerson!!!
Dear Emerson,
I can't believe you are two already. Where has the time gone? I love spending all of my time with you and I'm very thankful that your Daddy works so hard so I can be at home with you. We have hit many milestones this year including potty training, starting preschool, and your little brother Truett growing in Mommy's belly. You amaze me each and every day with your wisdom and happiness. You are talking in complete sentences now and even know your colors. You are very smart and constantly learning new things. You are starting to test your parents entering the 2's but for the most part you are a VERY happy little girl! You love school and your teacher Ms. Jennifer. You love Kindermusik class and enjoy music ALL the time. Thank you for playing with your brother in Mommy's belly and singing Twinkle Twinkle to him. I know you will be the best big sister he could ask for because you already are. Thank you for saying "Bless you Momma" when I sneeze.Thank you for all of your adorable sayings that I hope I never forget like "I got you" and "Uh Oh what happened? " Thank you for your hugs, kisses, and head nuzzles. Thank you for your constant talking and asking questions. Thank you for blessing our lives each and every day. We LOVE you more than words can express and we are so proud of the big girl you have become.

Preschool...really??
When I was pregnant with Emerson in 2009 I put Emerson on a list for First United Methodist Weekday Preschool. Based on her "school age" she would start in Fall 2011 which seemed like a lifetime away. Well that time has come and today was the day. I fought back the tears and she didn't cry at all when we got there. She shed a few tears as I arrived I'm sure from pure exhaustion. Emerson can't stop talking about her teacher Jennifer, the kids, and let's not forget the baby dolls they have. She said she was ready to go back which confirmed we made the right decision for her instead of keeping her selfishly to ourselves. Our first week is behind us and I know it will get easier. She is already learning so much and it has only been 2 days. I'm so proud of my "big girl" and can't believe she will be 2 years old in one short week. I am taking this opportunity to get many projects completed in my short 12 hours a week. After all we will have a newborn here in just 12 short weeks. Enjoy some pics below!!

IT'S A...
Project Potty Training
We have been diaper free for a little over 2 weeks now in the Jones household. We did they 3 day potty training with E a few weekends ago and although it was exhausting she did amazingly well. She is only 22 months but was showing so much interest we decided to go ahead and move it up a little earlier. Emerson starts preschool in a month for 3 days a week. Although I know she will LOVE it..I on the other hand will need to be taken away from her room. We are still learning a lot through our first potty training experience and still have some hurdles to overcome but I could not be prouder of my BIG girl. I hope she continues to progress as she has done so far but prayers through this process are greatly appreciated. I have a few photos to share of our whirlwind weekend. Enjoy!

My BIG swimmer
Emerson had swimming lessons this summer from Mrs. Jeana again and did fantastic! She definitely has zero fear of the water and should be swimming by next summer. She loves to go under water and could do it all day. We have spent a lot of the summer swimming and we have LOVED every minute of it. Below are some photos to share. Enjoy!
