Our sweet Emerson started ballet in August and finished her first year with her recital this June. She loves ballet and to quote her she "was the best recital-er". She had an award ceremony on Monday night followed by two rehearsals on Wednesday and Thursday. Her recital debut was Friday at 7:00 with a repeat performance Saturday night. My stomach was in knots watching her on that stage in front of a FULL auditorium with hundreds of people. She did FANTASTIC and we could not have been prouder.

 

What a difference 9 months makes...

HE HAS RISEN!!!

Emerson is 3.5 and really understood the meaning of Easter this year.  She explained to me "Jesus died on the cross then he came back to life on Easter." I could not be more proud of the person she is and becoming each day. Emerson attends preschool at our church First United Methodist. She learns about God and his word each week during chapel. We hope as a family to nurture her relationship with God and help all of us become the children he wants us to be. We had a great Easter with church, egg hunt, followed by lunch, and the movie Brave.

SUNDAY FUNDAY AT THE ZOO ZOO

Emerson has the Lego Zoo set and always calls it her Zoo Zoo. We went to the Abilene Zoo Zoo in March on a Sunday morning to enjoy having the entire place basically to ourselves. It was a little windy but we managed to have a great time! I LOVE Sunday's with my family and cherish these days we get to spend with each other.
